Fun Things to Do in NYC For Birthdays

There is a good chance you have a birthday coming up sometime within the next 12 months, so why not start thinking about what you want to do? If you live in New York City (or plan on going there for your birthday), you have an almost endless supply of choices.

In the Big Apple, there is no shortage of things to do for fun. In an effort to make your birthday planning a little easier, we decided to give you a couple fun options that’ll bring you lots of happiness while in New York City for your birthday.

Pay A Visit to the Statue of Liberty

If you are visiting New York City for your birthday, the Statue of Liberty is a place you absolutely should visit. It gets over four million guests most years, and for good reason.

It has been around since the late-1800s and is one of the most famous and recognizable landmarks on the planet. Even if you live in New York City, checking out the Statue of Liberty is worth it and every New Yorker should check it out at least a few times.

Go Ice Skating

With winter officially here, there is no better time to get outside and enjoy some ice skating. As you could imagine, New York City is full of amazing rinks to go skating on. Some will be busy, while others are diamonds in the rough.

Some of the best include the Bryant Park Rink and the Rink at the Rockefeller, which both feature a great outdoor rink with amazing views and other things to do. Getting a few friends or family members together and skating on a nice winter day sounds like a pretty good way to spend a birthday.

Rent and Ride a Bike Through Central Park

Central Park is one of the most popular places to see in New York CIty. While many people elect to take a walk through the park, why not go for a bike ride? A bike is a fast and easy way to see the beautiful sights and sounds of Central Park (and the rest of NYC) without taking thousands of steps.

Sure, you can bring your own bike, but why not use an affordable and accessible service like Bike Rental Central Park – Tour & Rental Website. They will take care of everything for you, so you just have to worry about where you want to go and what you want to see.

Take a Helicopter Tour

While seeing New York City from the ground up is great, it’s even better to see it from the sky. And what better time than your birthday to take the adventure of your life on a helicopter tour through New York City. While it may be more expensive than the other options on this list, it is a thrill that you won’t soon forget.

There is a variety of different companies that offer helicopter tours in New York City, so take your pick! You’ll travel in style among the clouds and will see the city from a vantage point usually reserved for the birds. Certain tours will go through certain areas of the city, so make sure you know where each tour goes before you make a purchase.
